• on 21 feb 2006. Rela officers raided a food court, detained 4 females indonesians. Aim a loaded gun and the assitant manager of the food court. The business partners were summoned to the Rela Ampang camp where they allegedly paid RM4,000 to secure the release of four women workers, one of whom was pregnant.

103 men including bald 11 was shaved bald

PUTRAJAYA, Feb 7:

A total of 103 men had their heads shaved on Jan 30, not just the 11 who have threatened to file a million-ringgit suit.

Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Noor Hakim Kassim revealed yesterday there had been 103 male detainees in the station’s lock-up on the night of Jan 30.

“That night, all of them were given this crew-cut look, regardless of their age, young and old alike,” he said, adding that only female detainees were spared.

“Those detained in operations by other agencies, such as the Islamic Affairs Department and Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry, and placed in our lock-up that night were also given the same treatment.

“We were not selective,” Mohd Noor said, reiterating that the practice was in line with the Lock-up Rules.

Asked about the threat by the 11 men to file a civil suit against the police and the Government if Mohd Noor and the police did not offer a public apology, the Kajang OCPD told the New Straits Times:

“It is their right to file the suit, their right as Malaysians. I have no objection.”

He said the question of him extending an open apology to the 11 did not arise, as he had only been following the rules.

Yesterday morning, the DAP, accompanied by two of the 11 men, handed over a memorandum to the Prime Minister’s Department, demanding an open apology from the police as well as Mohd Noor, failing which they would sue. — NST

It's confirmed What kev and I have suspected all along. That nude squat is a normal procedure for all suspects regardless of degree of crime. This is what abettermalaysia wrote about he's ordeal recently after a long hiatus.

Nude Squats:

First the squat incident, then the baldness fiasco. Luckily they did not shave me bald but I did do those nude squats. Nude squats were supposedly to prevent people from hiding anything up their rectum, but the least they could do was give us some privacy... not make us show our privates for the whole jail to see. The girl in the video was quite lucky, she was in the room with only a police lady and a peeping tom taking a video. I had possibly 40 people staring at my ass and what was up front.

At the risk of sounding sexist. I think what happend to the girl was worst, because as a girl has her modesty and dignity to defend. Of course having 40 men seeing your penis and buttocks is not a good experience as well. However wonder what happend to the girls who were brought back to the lock up on that night of the raid. Were they forced to do nude squats in front of 40 women?

Regardless of who had the worst experience. One important point is that the malaysian police need to improve their human rights ethics. Whether it's forcing a man to do nude squat infront of 40 people or forcing a girl to do nude squats in a room which has an open doorway and window. It's the same thing. No respect for human rights and dignity.

Police report on the malaysia police

this is kind of late but kev found this comments which are translated police report by the 4 chinese housewives regarding them being wrongfully jailed back in november. It's their report on the incident that started the squatgate scandal. This is suppose to be a translated version of teresa kok's china Nationals sue police for illegal detention.

Kev and I can't be sure of the malay to english translation. Our malay is really horrible, when we go to jb we can't speak malay properly to the cab driver to make him think we're locals; so we don't get rip off.

Wasn't there a saying 2,000 years ago. "Who will watch the watchmen?" Anyway I don't even want to comment on the police report, since I've repeated mentioned about the sexual harrassment that occur to this 4 innocent women.

We were detained by the police with other lady Chinese nationals from the 3rd of November 2005 (Thursday), about 11pm nearing to Sungai Buloh. At that time we were in a car and the police was holding a road block.

Police detained us with the cause of suspicion of fake passport. We were sent to the Sungai Buloh police station. At about 6 am 4th November 2005. We were sent to the Petaling Jaya Police Station and we were imprison in the lock up in there.

Before we were sent to our cells, we were told to show all our belongings in our hand bag. A police men and a police woman who were at the counter recorded the inventory of our hand bag and asked $50 RM from both yu xue zhen and Gu xiu hua and we gave it to them. At that time, Wu Xia Hua only had $3 RM in her hand bag. She was also force to give it to the above mentioned police officers. The Police women then shared $10 of our money to each of the officers in the station. We were force to give the money because it was demanded from the police officer and we were afraid of them.

After that, two police woman ask us to take off our clothes until we were naked in a room before going into the lock up one by one. The police women ask us to stand and squat five times when we were naked. When it was Yu Xue Zhen;s turn, she felt embarrass from striping and move her back to face the police women. She was slapped by the police women on the face. When Yu Xue Zhen was taking her clothes off. A police man was peeping at her and she screamed. After that the room door was immediately closed. After the body check, were we allowed to put our clothes back on and enter the lock up.

On the evening of 5th November 2005. 5 chinese nationals women including us and 2 indonesian women was brought to the Sungai Buloh police station to record our statement. When we return to the Petaling Jaya Police station. We were again asked to take off our clothes and repeat the procedude. After that all the Chinese women were not allowed to wear back our bras. Only the women of other nationalities were allowed to wear back their bras.

After we recorded out statement on the 5th of November at the Sungai Buloh Police Station, a police man did a hand gesture to Gu Xiu Hua that meant she had big breast.

At about 7pm 5th November, Yu Xue Zhen wrap her body with a big towel and entered the bath room in the lock up. She notive a police man staring at her from outside the lock up’s door. This was witness by Gu Xiu Hua. Gu Xiu Hua remembers Yu Xue Zhen immediately went into the bath room and close the door.
On the first day of our detention period. Yu Xue Zhen’s husband brought two bags that contained clothes, 3 towels, ladies towel, perfume, tooth brush and tooth paste to the Petaling Jaya Police Station to be given to Yu Xue Zhen, but the police officer on duty did not send it to her. On the 5th of November when Yu Xue Zhen was sent to the Sungai Buloh Police Station to record her statement. She was told by her husband that he sent those items to her on the day before. When Yu Xue Zhen was sent back to the Petaling Jaya Police Office, she asked for those items that was sent by her husband to the police, and she found a few expensive clothes, towel, tooth brush, tooth paste, perfume and ladies towel missing. And only two T shirt, a shirt, jeans and long pants was left behind.

We were imprisoned in the lock up for 5 days, only released by the police on the 7th November 2005 when the immigration officer in Putrajaya have validated that our passport was real. Before we left the Petaling Jaya Police Station, around 4 pm, the same police men who did the same hand gesture that praise the size of Gu Xia Hua’s breast. That police man asked Gu Xiu Hua to come to him and did another gesture to ask Gu Xiu Hua to call him. But Gu Xiu Hua did not dare go near him.
We are not happy about the imprisonment and our experience because we were holding valid passport and we have entered Malaysia many times through the years. We have never gone against the Malaysian law and we should not have been detained and imprisoned in the police lock up.

It has also been alleged through press release by the Chinese woman that the police officer at the road block indicated they wanted a $500 rm bribe. On refusing the Chinese ladies were brought it for “suspicion” of owning fake passports. They were also not given proper drinking, instead they drank straight from the tap.

This is the latest on the issue.

The Orcs new year's eve raid at Paul's Place

Warcraft
A recent incident reminded me about that warcraft game which my boyfriend plays. Kev loves to play the orcs because of their brute force and numbers. U see the elves and humans have the intelligence, it’s like all their people in command have degrees. May be for the elves, all their troops have degrees even the frontliners. Where else the orcs have numbers and brute force. Their strategy is to swarm a place and just whack. Those who rise up the ranks, are smart but not educated or just lucky for not being caught screwing up. Even their peons talk in an idiotic voice.

The Orc's raid
What incident am I talking about? And Who am I referring to? The Malaysia police and the new year’s eve raid on paul’s place in KL. 380 people including 70 teenage girls were detained and sent back to the police station for drug testing and only 3 were tested for positive for drugs.

It seems paul’s place can only contain 150 people, that means the bulk of the people were snatched from the eateries near by. According to this rice cooker’s blog, 1 lady was having supper with her husband and friends when they were detained. Thus the bulk of the people detained had nothing to do with satanic worshipping and black metal listening as stated in the press briefing.

Human rights group protests
The human rights group suaram and hakam has written a formal complaints here. About the Malaysia police aka The Orcs snatching people from the streets without stating the reason they were detained. I think there wasn’t a proper briefing before the operation. Why else were the victims getting different response from different officer for the reason of their detention. Some said it was because they were wearing black shirts, some say it’s was an illegal assembly, some say they were satanic worshippers and some refuse to tell the victims why they were detained. Bottom line is the Orcs do not brief their troops before an operation. Isn’t that dangerous?

The raid celebration party and the prize paraded
Anyway even jeff ooi is real pissed about it. He pissed because the police paraded 6 youths in front of the press for a Q and A, that’s a breach of privacy with the victims. So it’s ok to protect the squatgate girl with smokes and mirror maneuvers at the court house but it’s not ok to protect the privacy of those 6 youth. Right! That’s a reversal of policy. Cleary after the squategate incident, the Malaysia police is trying to get in the good side again with their masters by actually doing some work.

How else would you explain the press conference at the early morning with their prize from the raid paraded.

Happy New Year but not to squatgate perps

I would like to wish everyone a happy new year and a safe celebration this saturday. To all my fellow singaporean in kl and malaysian friends. I hope you will have a eventful and trouble free night on new years eve.


U know. If there's a police raid. There's a chance you will have to strip and squat back at the police station. Or you could be ask to squat in the toilet and pee into a tube out infront of all the female club patrons.


Those perps better not let Maureen Dowd find out. Ms Dowd rules.
